These terms apply to all services provided by Ancaster Carpentry (“we”, “us”) for residential and commercial carpentry, renovations, and related work in Hamilton, Ancaster, Stoney Creek, Dundas, Waterdown, Caledonia, Cayuga, Jarvis, Port Dover, Brantford, Burlington, Oakville and surrounding communities in Ontario.
Written estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. The final price may change if the scope of work is altered after the estimate is accepted, or if unforeseen conditions are discovered once work begins.
A deposit is typically required before materials are ordered or work begins. The remaining balance is due upon substantial completion unless a different schedule is agreed in writing. We accept e-transfer, cheque, and cash.
Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be confirmed in writing (text or email is acceptable). Additional work will be quoted and invoiced separately.
We are not responsible for delays caused by material shortages, supplier issues, weather, or changes requested by the client after work has started. We will communicate any delays promptly.
Workmanship is warranted for one year from the date of completion, excluding normal wear, misuse, or issues caused by pre-existing conditions. Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and fixtures supplied by others.
Ancaster Carpentry carries liability insurance and is WSIB compliant. Clients are responsible for their own property insurance covering the premises during the project.
If a project is cancelled after materials have been ordered or work has begun, the client is responsible for the cost of materials already purchased plus any labour completed up to the date of cancellation.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
